Quinta da Matina is a beautiful renovated farmhouse set in mature sub tropical garden on the edge of the village of Portelas, having views of Funchal ridge to the south and Monchique mountains to the north east.

It is ideal for people looking for a tranquil location yet being very near to the beaches and the historic town of Lagos with its many restaurants, beach bars, the marina, interesting shops and discos.

The farmhouse is spacious and 'L' shaped and on one level making it safe for children and easy for older people. The sofa bed can be provided for additional number of people.

Outside there is a large heated private pool 15m x 5m x 2.2m in deep end - 0.9m in shallow end, there is a small gate to secure small children between the pool terrace and upper terrace, the pool has underwater lighting which creates a luxurious ambiance whilst dining in the evening on the covered terrace, surrounding the pool the walled garden has mature palms and many colourfull sub tropical plants, there is a covered terrace with table and chairs overlooking the pool, on the uncovered terraces there are sun loungers, table chairs and umbrella, dual purpose built barbecue, the pool area can be secured against small children.

There is a lawn area for children to play.

The house is approached by a private drive opening onto a large paved area in front of the house and open garage.

The garden is fenced but for people that have allergies or problems with animals there are dogs living with the owners on the neighbouring property.

- A 25% deposit is required upon booking with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival.

- The deposit is non-refundable.

- In the case of a cancellation no paid monies will be refunded.

- A security deposit of £500 is required.

- Cot and high chair rental is available for £75 per week.

- Peak season bookings should be Saturday to Saturday, we are more flexible outside of peak season.
