Welcome to Casa Do Lago. This is an exclusive luxuriously appointed, professionally interior designed country house villa estate set nestled in its own 30 acres of land. Its situated by a freshwater lake called Lake Bravura within a breath-taking unspoilt nature reserve setting area, where there is no pollution and the skies are fabulously clear at night - perfect for those who love star gazing!

Its a perfect combination of nature, luxury & tranquility and ideal for people who want to 'get away from it all', but only 15minutes drive to the large towns of Lagos, Alvor, Portimao, and Monchique /Caldas da Monchique spa town.

The villa is close proximity (3 kilometers) to the Algarve International race circuit which has played host to high profile events such as F1, Moto GP and world super bikes.

A long private driveway leads you to the villa. Steps lead up to the courtyard and front door. Spacious entrance hall & guest cloakroom, with utility room off.

Large lounge with open plan kitchen and second separate living room (piano room), smart tv with Netflix. Great unlimited WI-FI.

Three spacious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and large king-size beds and patio doors opening onto elevated pool terrace. (One bedroom offers flexibility of either having a super king size double bed OR can be made up as 2 single beds)

Large family sized pool has built-in steps & underwater lighting. Covered terrace areas surround the pool. Outside there are beautiful mature gardens, featuring an ornamental pond, Pergola with seating area & built-in barbecue for alfresco dining. Set in 30acres of private land.

  • A beautiful relaxing holiday!

    The minute we drove off the main road to the route to the villa we knew we were in for a beautiful, relaxing holiday. The welcome from the host was just perfect and much appreciated as our flight had been delayed. Instantly we could see from the spotlessly clean interior that this was a gem of a villa. It is so well fitted out with everything you could ever wish for. The decor is very tasteful and luxurious in feel. It’s certainly a high end villa. The rooms are all light and airy. The kitchen, dining and living room are surrounded by vast floor to ceiling doors which open out to patios. The outside eating areas overlook the pool which then leads onto views you can only dream of. The place is in the most peaceful and calming location. There are so many areas around the villa to explore with the vast plot it sits on. All bedrooms are incredibly comfortable and en-suite. Seeing the sunrise in the morning is special. We’ve never seen such a well stocked up holiday home. Even though we tried to replenish what we used there is everything you’d ever need in one cupboard or another. We will certainly be going back to this villa as much as we can. It’s a rare find. We travelled to Lagos, Monchique, Silves, Palmares and Montei Rei easily from there. Thank you to the wonderful hosts for allowing us to stay in their home and being so attentive and fabulous.

  • Een droomhuis en locatie

    Vanaf het eerste contact zat het goed. Snelle reacties en erg behulpzaam. Eenmaal aangekomen bij het huis, was Eva aanwezig. Het huis was ge-wel-dig! Zo mooi! Schoon, en echt alles en meer is er aanwezig. Home away from home! Het is een heerlijke omgeving in de middel of nowere. Echt een aanrader. Wij zijn er 3 weken geweest en vreselijk genoten. Onze puber dochter is 1 week overgekomen, en een week was voor haar wel genoeg. Er is natuurlijk voor haar niet veel te beleven. Voor ons zoontje van 4 en ons zelf, wel. Prachtige wandelingen, immens mooi uitzicht. Ook hebben we een dag gevaren met Roger en hun eigen boot. Echt een aanrader. Roger weet veel van de omgeving en is bijzonder lief. En ze geven je echt een goede prijs!! Wat erg fijn is, is dat Eva vrijwel meteen reageert als je haar appt. Ze komen nooit onaangekondigd langs en je voelt je al snel helemaal thuis. Ik mis het enorm:) Dank lieve Eva and Roger, wij hebben enorm genoten van jullie prachtige huis!

  • Calme et repos

    Villa très agréable car spacieuse et belle vue dégagée. Propriétaires très gentils mais plusieurs dysfonctionnements dans la maison au niveau des salles de bain. La literie de la chambre du fond est à revoir !

  • Mooie, fijne plek, gelegen in de natuur

    Een heel fijn verblijf gehad, genoten van het zwembad en de natuur bij het huis. Ook van de stranden en mooie kustlijn in de omgeving.

  • A lovely, light and airy villa

    We visited for 2 weeks in early September - a lovely villa, in a peaceful location, in some lovely countryside. Very well equipped and comfortable. Spotlessly clean when we arrived. Helpful owners answered any questions quickly. Excellent sized pool surrounded by an interesting garden. Would happily rent again.

  • INCREDIBLE HOME FROM HOME

    After extensive travel staying in hotels, villas and b&b's we must say that Eva and Roger where the perfect home owner managers that we have EVER had the pleasure to meet and become friends who made our stay at their villa home special. They have everything set up as if you where in your own home with extensive kitchen and utility room cleaning products, toilet rolls, beer and wine fridge (full when we met Eva who said help yourselves) we did replace what we used even though they said not to. They have an awesome dog Bella and cat Minnie who were a delight to look after. They do not have to stay but as we are pet lovers with dogs we said they did not have to go to the kennel or cattery. There is plenty of wildlife to capture on camera for wildlife photographers out there. I am a professional photographer and captured a Bonellis eagle parrying with another raptor. Iberian hares, red-rumped swallows fledging, golden oriels, azure winged magpies, palid swifts, stork, heron, little egret, common waxbill, gold finch, serin, white scorpion, several varieties of butterfly and dragonfly, bee, hornet, cheeky sparrows, jay, bee eater, the list goes on and all this within the property extensive 30 acre grounds and surrounding countryside. You could stay here without travelling being something for all tastes. This honestly is the best villa home that we have ever stayed in. Roger is an awesome Jazz trombonist and had the pleasure to listen to his band several times whilst on our two week break. Thank you Eva and Roger for your kind and friendly hospitality.

  • Beautiful villa with outstanding views

    We has a wonderful week in a beautiful villa which provided everything you could possibly wish for. The pictures really do not do it justice, it is fabulous!Eva and Roger were great and provided us with lots of information about things to do in the area and restaurants to visit locally. Our day out on the yacht was one of the highlights of the holiday. The villa is close to Lagos and Alvor , where one of our favourite restaurants is, so a beach is within easy reach if you fancy a change from the pool. It was great to be able to feed the terrapins in the Lake, they are really friendly but watch your toes! The views were stunning and it was really peaceful both during the day and in the evening where you could sit out on one of the many terraces and watch the stars. The villa was also close to the kart track which kept our teenager amused. All in all we had a fantastic time and will definitely book this villa again next time we are in Portugal.

    Once again, had a wonderful time at this gorgeous villa in beautiful surroundings. The villa is extremely well-maintained and has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The owners are lovely too. We will be back!

  • Relaxation at its best

    Complete relaxation, peace and quiet in a clean and large but cosy villa. Casa Do Lago and Eva provided all we wished for. The large pool and surrounding area with spectacular views ensures you never want to share with other holiday makers again! A car is definately required and the location is not for those who want the company of others at all times.

  • AWAY FROM IT ALL

    We had a fantastic time relaxing and generally enjoying the peace and quiet with no interuptions. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who wants an 'away from it all' holiday.
